J Witt Waste Recycling Ltd are recruiting a Chain lift Skip Driver to join a friendly team in a fast paced, customer focused waste management business, based south of Bath.

This is a permanent role offering competitive pay.


This is a varied role, primarily driving one of our fleets skip trucks across Sommerset nad the surrounding areas, liaising with the main site office and Transfer Starion as necessary.

Skip sizes between 2 yard to 12 yard.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • To operate one of our chain lift vehicles in an effective, safe and efficient manner, in line with company requirements.
  • Assist in the provision of skip collections and disposal service across various locations, observing health & safety requirements and being responsible for the safety of crew, equipment, self and members of the public.
  • Ensuring the highest possible standard of service is consistently provided to customers.
  • Experience in driving and operating of Skip lorries is desirable.

Requirements:


  • HGV Licence (Class 2)
  • Valid CPC
  • Able to follow and adhere to company regulations and health and safety rules.
  • Able to represent the business in the appropriate manor whilst working independently.
  • Have a good work ethic
  • Have effective time management skills.
  • Driving experience is essential.
  • Highly organised and the ability to anticipate requirements and prioritize a changing workload.
  • A strong communicator and an excellent team player.
  • Reliable and independent worker.
