Description

Our client, a Not-for-Profit Housing Association, is currently recruiting for a Cloud Platform Manager to join their forward thinking technical team.

The Cloud Platform Manager will be responsible for the Azure Cloud Platform, networks, servers and services,ensuring the integrity and architecture of the platform.

This is a hybrid based role (2 days in the office per week).


Key Responsibilities for the Cloud Platform Manager

  • Coordinate the design, build and maintenance of platform components and technologies.
  • Manages the Cloud Platform team, conducts goal setting and performance appraisal processes.
  • Ensures live environments remain compliant and meet operational targets
  • Resolves chronic complex problems, providing managerial operational support to maintain systems and platforms
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of platform updates to optimize functionality, performance, efficiency, and maintainability
  • Performs lifecycle management for vendor products, ensuring regular updates, and products are used correctly / efficiently.
  • Lead Solution Design/Architect function for our Cloud Platforms

Key Experience for the Cloud Platform Manager

  • Indepth knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems.
  • Indepth knowledge of Cloud Services (Azure).
  • Indepth knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Indepth knowledge of DevOps Tooling (Terraform, Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  • Experience leading a major work stream or multiple smaller work streams for a large platform initiative, often providing technical guidance and advice to ensure consistent deployment of solutions
  • Proven Azure Cloud Solution Design Experience
  • Experience setting priorities, objectives, and driving deliverables within global technology domains and subdomains
  • Experience engaging with the broader technical community to anticipate developments in innovation, often evaluating new solutions and recommending future business platform system requirements
