Description

All Training will be carried out at: Impact Recycling, Unit 6B, Metnor Business Park, Wallsend,Tyne and Wear. NE28 6HH.

Impact Recycling :
We recycle all items of plastic, through our unique process.

Our Process entails using Manitou and FLT to move around plastics, finished goods etc and to supply our process, where our operators monitor our machinery for Quality and Breakdowns etc and report back to the Team Leader and Supervisor etc


QC/MaterialMovements Job Description

Reporting to - Production Supervisor/Manager.

Operation - Production Operator.

The Company
Impact Recycling is a company which operates at the centre of the circular economy.

We have developed a unique separation process which separates Post Industrial, Commercial and Consumer mixed rigid plastics to their individual constituted materials.


We have also developed a unique material separation and wash system which prepares the material for use within our patented BOSS system.


The site is at Wallsend which is easily commutable from Newcastle, Sunderland and surrounding area including a close to site Metro station (Hadrian Road).


QC/ Material Movements -Traits

Area of Responsibility - tasks on site.

Duties - Safety - Ensure at all times you operate in a way which does not put at risk personnel or equipment on site. Adhere to the appropriate Health and Safety rules associated with the shop floor, Outside Area and wear the appropriate supplied PPE.


Primary:

Responsible for the quality control of outgoing product, by carrying out final inspection of bags produced by Boss, checking the purity standard.

PP above 90%

If the bag is ripped or damaged in anyway, the bag must be put to one side for Re-bagging when it is convenient to do so.


Label details must be recorded in the notepad, in the correct section for PP, PE etc, these details when a full load (22 Bags/pallets make a full load), must be taken to the office and given to LJ/JP (Communicate with LJ/JP regarding load increase or decrease), to create the Delivery Notes for goods to the end user.


Once the bags are logged, they need covering with a plastic bag, and strapping to the pallet after you have made sure that the bag is central on the pallet.


After correctly storing on the pallet, the finished pallets are moved into the allocated bays in the yard until outside transport is arranged to the customer.

Delivery notes for outgoing product are kept in the office, on the outgoing board, until transport arrives on site for loading of finished product.

You will load the finished product onto the trailer using a FLT, making sure you take care not to damage the truck or finished goods.

If you do then report it to LJ/JP in the office Immediately. You exchange signed delivery notes with the driver(s) for incoming and outgoing product. Incoming product must show who it is from i.e. SuezSunderland or Ponteland etc and also the incoming Net Weight. A copy of outgoing Paperwork must be signed by the driver and returned to the office.


Any Visitor(s) that come onto site must be issued with a HiVis Vest and be escorted by you to the main office area using the correct walkways.


Waste skip exchanges are required at least once per day, the driver will require you to guide him whilst reversing, to position for the skip exchanges.

You must make sure that you keep the yard area tidy and free from debris on the ground.


You will be aware of all stock levels of items that you use in your area, and keep an up to date list so you can inform LJ, when stocks are running low.

(tools, bags, strapping, clips, tape etc).

If Washline / Boss are short staffed, you will be required to support and help out in those areas. The Supervisor will determine the priority area that you will work in.

You are requested to work overtime to achieve the needs of the business, i.e.

If a trailer is late and arrives close to the end of your shift, it MUST be Unloaded /Loaded by you, using overtime allocated for you to complete your task.


This is not an exhaustive list of duties, other duties will be allocated to you to fulfil the needs of the business.


Working Hours (Wallsend).
Current working hours are 40 hours which currently will be worked between 07:00am and 15:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Overtime will be required in addition to normal working hours to fulfil the business needs.


Wage rate for position is £11.55 per hour.

Essential Attributes

Fork Lift Truck Licence (Reach counterbalance)

  • Flexible approach to working hours and shifts.

Job Details

07:00am to 15:30pm with Overtime Requirement to meet Business needs.

Salary - £11.55
