TSR Legal are proud to be working with a Top 100 firm with offices across the South West as well as in the City who now have a new opportunity for a Risk & Best Practice Advisor to support the Senior Risk & Best Practice Manager.

The role will provide first line, technical advisory support to the business on all risk and compliance issues and manage risk and compliance registers and records.

Knowledge of Legal Aid work and quality standards would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and manage all queries coming in the Risk and Best Practice Team, providing initial guidance and support or escalating queries in accordance with the triage system.
Support the Director of Risk and Best Practice with maintenance of the risk and compliance registers and databases, including registers of compliance breaches, data requests, AML records and conflicts of interests.
Provide administrative support for external audits, including those relating to Lexcel, AML audits and Legal Aid Agency audits;
Manage external registrations and communications such as with the Information Commissioner and Legal Aid Agency
Maintaining the risk and compliance intranet pages and draft and issue risk and compliance updates and notices
Monitor incoming post and correspondence;
Assist with the presentation of induction training for new joiners and ongoing training on compliance matters
Assist with the design of training materials and maintain registers of training delivered by the Risk and Best Practice Team;
Undertake ad hoc legal research and keep the team up to date on relevant changes to regulation/legislation e.g. antibribery, antimoney laundering and data protection legislation across all the jurisdictions in which the firm operates.
