Environmental Health Housing Officer - North West - Up to £40,000 + Company Car

This is a global organisation who provide a service that is critical to our communities, and they need an Environmental Health Housing Officer to join their team.

What you will be doing?
- You will take ownership for ensuring all properties across the portfolio have the required mandatory/selective/additional licencing in place to comply with the AASC contract and Housing Act 200
- You will be responsible for maintaining and managing the licencing process from end to end whilst offering expertise support to the contract leadership team, internal legal business partners, landlords and investors.
- You will create, develop and provide comprehensive reports, analysis, references and recommendations in a variety of formats to support the enhancement of the portfolio
- You will provide expert knowledge of Housing and Licencing requirements for larger proposed property procurement
- You will build and maintain relationships with the Local Authorities, sharing best practice and improving communications
- You will collaborate with Landlords, Field Teams and Local Authorities to ensure statutory requirements surrounding licencing are met
What you will have
- You are a qualified Environmental Health Officer, this can be newly qualified or 20+ years PQE
- You will have a comprehensive understanding of regulatory and statutory residential property standards and possess strong knowledge of Local and National residential property legislation. (Housing Act 2004, Homes Act 2018).
- You also have extensive knowledge of property licencing requirements (Mandatory, Additional and Selective Licencing) and knowledge of interrogating Fire Risk Assessments.
- Also, experience of interpreting floor plans to ensure maximum occupancy in properties.
- Full UK driving licence and you will hold Security Clearance at CTC level (Counter Terrorism Check) and CRB clearance is required.
