Transport Administrator
Salary:
£25,000pa
Hours of work:
Monday-Friday, 8am to 4.30am
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Administrator to work alongside the transport department based out of our Meriden, Head office.
Previous experience working in a busy transport environment would be a distinct advantage, although full training on all systems will be given.
The role will involve:
- Provide administration services and support to the Transport department
- Updating the bespoke computer system as required
- Handling incoming telephone calls from new and existing customers.
- Supporting daily planning and scheduling of vehicles for collections and deliveries as well as maintenance to ensure all bookings are accepted within a timely manner and information is recorded as required.
- Completing internal daily reports (Excel)
- Liaise with subcontractors and internal departments
- Other general admin duties as required by the business.
The
preferredqualities required for the Transport Administrator include:
- The right person for the job will be a great team player, with a positive/can-do attitude
- Good organisation and administrative skills
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Strong IT skills covering Word, Excel and Outlook

- Ability to adapt and work flexibly.
A full UK clean driving licence and own vehicle/transport is required for this role.
