Transport Administrator


Salary:
£25,000pa


Hours of work:
Monday-Friday, 8am to 4.30am


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Administrator to work alongside the transport department based out of our Meriden, Head office.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing the finest aggregate supply, waste management and haulageservices throughout the midlands.


Previous experience working in a busy transport environment would be a distinct advantage, although full training on all systems will be given.

The role will involve:


  • Provide administration services and support to the Transport department
  • Updating the bespoke computer system as required
  • Handling incoming telephone calls from new and existing customers.
  • Supporting daily planning and scheduling of vehicles for collections and deliveries as well as maintenance to ensure all bookings are accepted within a timely manner and information is recorded as required.
  • Completing internal daily reports (Excel)
  • Liaise with subcontractors and internal departments
  • Other general admin duties as required by the business.

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
