Are you a charismatic, talented and highly motivational Sales Manager with experience and a proven track record in managing, mentoring and leading a team of experienced specification, sector specialist and multi-functional sales professionals whoare promoting Commercial Interior products and solutions to Architects, Interior Designers, Design & Build / Fit-Out Companies, Main, Specialist Sub Contractors, End User clients and Commercial Property / Facilities Management and Lease Companies.

If so, we are working with one of the most forward-thinking, well branded and progressive market-leading UK Manufacturers of highly sustainable and design-led COMMERCIAL INTERIOR PRODUCTS & SOLUTIONS who are seeking to recruit a NORTHERN REGIONALSALES MANAGER to join their management team.

The Role
This role will be a hybrid role. Primarily it will be to lead the Northern region, which would have 4 direct reports. The role would also require someone to manage a discreet area within the North East.


Currently, the role will approximately consist 60% team management and 40% area/customer management however will of course vary depending on the team/business needs at the time with all intentions for this position to become a pure management position intime.


Personal:


  • Meet & exceed agreed team & personal objectives (Order Intake, Margin, product mix).
  • Manage Key clients & relationships directly and by supporting your team to do the same.
  • Take responsibility for major or special/highvalue projects deemed as strategically important as needed.

The Team:


  • Measure, monitor and regulate sales team performance against agreed objectives.
  • Provide (with info from the team) regular sales forecasts and other analyses as required.
  • Carry out weekly team / individual dialogues or meetings to ensure correct and efficient activity is at the forefront.
  • Organise, host and chair regular sales meetings.
  • Help Identify and suggest solutions for team training requirements.
  • When agreed recruit a replacement and new sales team members.
  • Support and report to the National Sales Manager to determine sales territories and objectives.
  • Contributing ideas to sales and marketing materials and initiatives
  • Organise and attend regular meetings with the operational delivery teams to ensure open and clear communications and smooth running of projects as well as great customer communication and feedback.
  • Act as the liaison between the sales team and senior management of the business

Responsibilities:


  • You will lead your team in building strong relationships with National Main Contractors, Architects, Designers, Sub Contractors and End Users consisting of bluechip commercial office and industrial companies, property, facilities management and leasingcompanies. In addition, you will drive the development in various verticals, and implement a growth strategy unique to each defined sector.
  • Liaising with other departments within the business to ensure they always provide the right products and services.
  • Obtain enough expertise and input from others (internally and externally) to mitigate and eliminate risk to the company both legally and financially.
  • To maintain minimum financial performance requirements by ensuring that booked order margin targets are met.
  • Maintain correct 'paper trail' on all communications, discussions, and negotiations.
  • Produce reports as needed, encompassing all areas under your responsibility, this will include a leadbylead detail breakdown, pipeline projections and order intake forecasting.
  • Champion the use of all company systems and drive better performance with better data.
  • Ensure all activity and data are entered correctly into the systems and that all reports are accurate and up to date.
  • Help & support other teams and departments with training and other input as needed.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and other events as needed both domestically and internationally.
  • They ensure regular communication with your line manager and the broader business, sharing information and helping the growth and health of the business in general.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required - ESSENTIAL

  • An established
    NORTHERN REGIONAL MANAGER with a proven track record in profitable business growth, managing, motivating, growing and developing external and internal sales, design and estimating teams
  • Knowledge of the Flooring sector is highly advantageous but not absolutely essential
  • The ability to identify, influence and implement dynamic marketing material and continuously look for ways to improve company branding.
  • The ability to identify current and pivot towards future market trends.
  • Planning, presenting and agreeing on sales and marketing strategies along with regular forecasting, reporting and marketplace analysis at the executive board level.
  • Sound knowledge of the Commercial, Education, Healthcare and Residential markets
  • Confident in conducting and supporting your team with CPD Seminars to key design partners in the region.
  • Ability to problem solves in a collaborative, motivational working style.
  • Ability to present to senior decisionmakers inside and outside the business.
Salary & Benefits Strong Basic Salary (Up To £60,000) + excellent uncapped commission structure (realistic OTE of around £75,000 - £80,000) + hybrid company car + pension + healthcare + 25 days holiday + mobile + laptop + further opportunities within thebusiness
