    The role involves providing professional leadership and support to the various inpatient wards and departments and being part of your own Directorate to specifically focus on standards, performance monitoring and improvements.

    You will be fundamental in developing a focus on the Patient experience, Safety and Quality agenda. Ext 256585,

    • Senior Divisional PA for Divisional Head of Nursing – Emily Fernandez and Deputy Head of Nursing Leo Saptou
    Providing clinical leadership and professional support to all nursing and wider team of staff.

    Ensuring high quality, safe patient care is delivered by an appropriately skilled and educated workforce, through effective leadership by setting standards and performance monitoring of those standards.

    Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure a high standard of quality care delivery including - safety, effectiveness and patient experience, learning from feedback and patient and public involvement strategies.

    Current and relevant NMC registration
    Degree in health related subject
    Evidence of continuous professional development
    Management/Leadership training
    Patient safety investigator training – PSIRF, PSII, AAR

    Significant experience managing a ward / unit
    Broad senior clinical and managerial experience relevant to the post
    Budget management experience, including reducing costs, monitoring and determining corrective action
    Project management
    Quality improvement experience i.e. setting standards, audit cycles and improvement
    Operational management of the day, including patient flow and weekend Senior Nurse of the day rota
    Clinical practice and demonstrable knowledge of developments in nursing policy and practice
    Good understanding of risk and clinical governance
    Lifelong learning, professional education and training
    Workforce planning, recruitment and retention
    Advising and influencing senior managers in relation to risk management and quality improvement
    Developing and implementing policies, guidelines and projects from initiation to completion
    Computer literate in basic programmes, i.e. word, PowerPoint and excel
