    The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join a Leading Nuclear Defence Client.
    To manage the delivery of ancillary structures engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.

    Responsible for managing the technical deliverables of the structural or mechanical engineering packages in line with the planned deliverables agreed by the Discipline Lead.

    The post operates as part of the Major Infrastructure Projects Business Unit.
    A masters degree in civil or structural engineering.
    Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council or working towards chartership.
    Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear and/or marine system knowledge
    NUC0793 Nuclear Plant Foundation Course Module 1.
    NUC0794 Nuclear Fundamentals (Foundation) Course Module 2
    NUC0911 Introduction to Safety Engineering (ITSE).
    Design and substantiation of civil engineering and building structures to relevant seismic codes for satisfying Nuclear Safety Functions.
    Knowledge of architectural design of industrial buildings
    Sound understanding of engineering design and safety practice as relevant to post and project requirements

    Experience in all relevant design codes and in addition those relating to Nuclear Safety such as ASCE 4 & ASCE 43.

    Experience of the design support to construction, operation, refit/repair of conventional and nuclear submarines and/or facilities.
