    Grade UE07 £39,347 – £46,974 per annum

    Fixed-term: 24 months

    Full time: 35 hours per week

    The Opportunity:

    This Research Associate will work on a range of Offshore Renewable Energy projects contributing to a just transition and a decarbonised energy system. This work will include undertaking the delivery and coordination of a range of energy strategy research activities and their associated reports and deliverables. Additionally, this role will carry out general day to day tasks including consultation work on other national and international projects within the Policy and Innovation Group.

    The candidate must have excellent engineering, economics, policy, analytical and communication skills and be able to work in a diverse team of European academic and industrial partners. With a good first degree in engineering, economics, policy or related subjects, the candidate must also have appropriate energy sector professional experience including techno-economics, policy, strategy and coordination, and demonstrable analytical writing experience. The ability to work independently as well as within diverse national and European project teams will be essential.
