    NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

    One part-time post available. With a shift pattern of Monday to Friday.

    Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

    A HCPC Registration is required for this post.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a specialist Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community Stroke Team in Glasgow, based within the North East Sector Offices, in the grounds of Stobhill Hospital.

    Candidates require stroke experience, desirable in an acute, rehabilitation, and community setting with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and supervisor/ educator experience.

    We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate motivation, commitment and passion for promoting health and well-being for stroke patients through the provision of patient-centred care across their stroke recovery pathway.

    This post will allow the successful applicant the opportunity to work autonomously to manage their clinical caseload in the delivery of a comprehensive Speech and Language Therapy service,and to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.

    The multi-disciplinary team includes Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Stroke Nurse Specialist, Assistant Practitioner, alongside Stroke Clinical Psychology. We aim to offer a high quality multi-disciplinary team approach to providing stroke rehabilitation in our patient's homes, focused around the achievement of agreed rehabilitation goals.

    We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and motivated stroke specialist Speech and Language Therapist who is able to manage complex cases and situations and is able to adapt to working in different environments.
