The role of Corporate Broker is really important to us.

You will be supporting customers and will be focussed on our largest prospect and customer companies with bespoke or complex risks to insure.

Specifically, this role will be expected to cover both motor and non-motor ('commercial') risks and products.


We would love to welcome you to our insurance team in either our Leeds or Sheffield office, working hours of Monday-Friday.


Your responsibilities day to day will be

  • Negotiating with insurer partners in order to help to retain existing clients
  • Looking for insurance crosssell opportunities beyond motor insurance and working directly with a client to gather the right information
  • Creating and maintaining excellent client and prospect files so renewal business can be won the following year (utilising the Acturis insurance system)
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in the sales funnel and working as part of a team to drive incremental improvements over time
  • Working in an FCA compliant manner at all times and actively identifying process failures in the sales team to ensure improvements can be made over time.
  • Working on a variety of insurance products including fleet, commercial combined, goods in transit, cyber, and liability insurance

What do we expect of you?

  • Experience in dealing with complex client and dealing with premium £100K Plus.
  • Good understanding of the current market
  • A questioning nature and an ability to read between the lines in order to truly understand a prospect.
  • High attention to detail
  • An understanding and enjoyment of negotiation
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate preferred, or currently working towards.
  • Offer support and knowledge to other members of the team.
