    Description

    Our school is a member of Ventrus, a group of Devon schools that actively collaborate to improve children's outcomes. As a Trust, Ventrus offers excellent career and development opportunities.

    An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead the kitchen at our vibrant primary school in Exeter. We are looking for a talented individual, who has great cooking skills along with a passion for preparing fresh food from scratch.

    Successful candidates will:

    • Manage the day-to-day preparation of meals to a high standard within budget

    • Order food and materials

    • Maintain a hygienic kitchen

    • Effectively manage other members of the kitchen team

    • Promote the service to attract the maximum number of children and positively encourage healthy food choices

    • Possess knowledge and experience as a Kitchen Manager along with the minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Catering; Level 3 would be preferable

    • Have a proven track record of managing teams and controlling catering budgets
