We are looking to appoint enthusiastic health care assistants to join our 32 bedded unit at Clitheroe community hospital. we are looking for flexible and hardworking individuals with good organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues. Experience in a care setting is preferable but not essential as full training and support to provide excellent patient care to our patients, support will be provided by the Practice Educator in conjunction with the experienced ward teams
Main duties of the job
Ribblesdale ward Clitheroe Community Hospital. We provide Rehabilitation and Step down Nursing care for patients within the East Lancashire footprint. We are looking to recruit a health care assistant to support us in providing safe personal and effective care.
The successful candidate will work alongside the nursing staff to deliver the care for our patients. The post is a rotational post and staff will be expected to cover nights and weekends.
We are looking for a motivated individual that thrives in a fast paced environment who aspires to deliver high quality care within a team of innovative professionals where every individual's contribution is valued.
At the centre of our focus is always the patient. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Performs essential care to a high quality standard which meets the individual needs of patients, assisting patient with ADLS and repositioning of patients.
Maintains patient privacy, dignity with respect at all times, Assist patients to meet nutritional and hydration needs in line with their individual care plan. Ensure food/fluid charts are complete.
Uphold uniform policy at all times
Ensure nurse call systems are answered in timely way
Contribute to maintaining safe, clean, and productive care environment, compliant with Trust standards
Keep ward equipment cleaned and labelled, completing ward cleaning checklists
