Job Title:
Estimator.

Office Location:
Manchester.

Salary:
Up to £55K.

Site Locations:
Nationwide.
We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately pricing construction projects and creating comprehensive cost estimates.

Main responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, drawings and other documentation to fully understand project scope and requirements
Conduct indepth quantity takeoffs for all materials, equipment and labor required
Source pricing for materials, subcontractor services and other variable costs
Build detailed cost models and estimates using estimating software
Identify value engineering opportunities to reduce project costs when possible
Submit final estimate with supporting documentation to management for review
Make adjustments to estimates when scope changes or new information is obtained

Requirements:

Proven experience in a construction estimating role
Ability to read architectural, structural and MEP plans and specifications
Excellent math skills and attention to detail
Advanced knowledge of Excel and estimating software
Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple estimates simultaneously
Effective communication and collaboration skills

Ideally you will have at least 2-5 years of direct estimating experience. However, motivated trainees will also be considered.

£40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
