My client, one of Europe's largest online retailers, is looking to add a Front-End Software Engineer, to their Engineering function.

Having recently been acquired by a venture capital group, this is an incredibly exciting time to join the business as theyembark on unprecedent investment in several flagship projects.

The Role
As a Front-End Software Engineer you will be a key member of the engineering team developing e-commerce platforms. You will consistently deliver high quality, clean and highly operable code. You will have support from the Senior engineers and also help supportthe junior engineers.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Carrying out reviews of code
  • Contributor to the learning and sharing with the team
  • Support of afterhours software deployments (when required)
  • Development of high quality, clean and performant code which is built with operability built in by design
  • Participate and contribute in technical decision making within your team
  • Sharing benefits of particular approaches

About You

  • Experienced in Java
  • Excellent knowledge in ecommerce web development
  • Knowledge of web security, catching strategies and content delivery networks
  • Understands the testing pyramid, TDD and BDD
  • Spring and Hibernate experience
  • Knowledge of build tools and dependency management (Ivy, Maven, Gradle)
  • Understanding of agile methodologies
