As a Barclays Lawyer - Debt Advisory, you will be supporting and leading on projects with a range of goals, such as implementing regulatory changes, process improvements and assisting with updates to internal bank documents.

Furthermore, the role is amixture of transactional work and assisting the business more broadly in connection with the execution of the strategic priorities of the Legal function and the firm.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:

Formulating and delivering training to business and/ or Legal colleagues on legal, regulatory and market developments
Producing and updating standard form documents, templates, practice notes and guidelines
Proactively collaborating with other legal teams to ensure sharing of knowhow and efficient legal coverage
Proactively responding to requests for legal advice on transactions, focusing on lending on internal bank templates and related matters such as security, execution queries
Complying with internal policies and actively managing risks, breaches, and governance issues

What we're looking for:

Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales, able to demonstrate proven track record of managing a varied workload and drafting documentation to a high standard
Experience of working on banking transactions and ideally a familiarity with loan financing
Experience of managing transactions and business stakeholders

Skills that will help you in the role:

Experience with a national/ international law firm or in-house at a financial institution
Good general banking experience
Familiarity with broad range of loan transaction types and related issues e.g. security, crossborder

Barclays Snowhill is at the heart of the professional district and commands a workforce of around 1000.
