    Role responsibilities

    The Programme Manager will lead the EiS process and also have a key role in leading a varied portfolio of work, taking projects through development to successful, safe delivery by regulated contract management and include the preparation and management of the Transport for Wales (TfW) Entry into Service(EiS) requirements to support the introduction of TfW infrastructure projects.

  • Develop policies, procedures and processes by integrating EiS strategies and insights gained from the CVL Transformation Programme for TFW infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrate effective resolution strategies for EiS challenges by incorporating lessons learned from the CVL Transformation Programme and setting a benchmark for future projects and investments to ensure smoother transitions and enhanced operational reliability.
  • Be the central business point of contact for EiS by providing streamline communication to ensure cohesive management, efficient and effective project execution, thereby boosting overall project success and addressing stakeholder concerns.
  • Contributing to the success and timely delivery of projects by enhancing visibility, comprehensive reporting, and improved communication across all teams that will lead to greater project transparency, foster collaborative efficiency, and enable more informed decision-making.
  • Who we're looking for

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and be a Chartered member in a relevant professional discipline . Chartered Engineer (CEng) or a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP).
  • Hold project management professional qualification in a relevant project professional discipline such as APM or PRINCE2 etc.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on large, complex multi-disciplinary projects and managing complex interfaces with multiple contractors
  • Demonstrable experience of writing clear policies, processes and procedures.
  • Experience of managing the Common Safety Method Risk Assessment Process and have knowledge of the Rail Interoperability Regulations.
  • Welsh Language Skills

    The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
