SShakespeare's Globe is looking for a
Deputy Head of Stage (FTC)
to join our
Theatre and Performance team


The Deputy Head of Stage supports the Head of Stage to manage daily scenic turnrounds as well as supporting carpenters, scenic painters and the wider production department to prepare, physical elements of performances.

They will deputise for the Head of Stage to ensure work takes place within H&S regulations.


Person Specification:


  • Demonstrable relevant experience in a producing theatre.
  • Practical, proactive and hands on approach to theatre production.
  • Confidence in theatre production skills such as basic carpentry, working knowledge of knots and safe working practices relating
- to manual handling, ladder safety etc

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership skills, able to provide direction and inspire confidence.
  • Working knowledge of risk assessments and relevant H&S regulations.
  • Good communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Selfmotivated, and able to demonstrate initiative.
  • Confident working at height, IPAF training will be provided.
  • Full clean driving license
