My client is a local manufacturer and is looking for an Operations Manager to join their team and will be responsible for the Manufacturing and distribution departments


Operations Manager - Job Role:

  • Develop the position within the company
  • Manage the Operational teams within the business
  • Liaise closely with the workforce,
  • Evaluating employee programmes, improving employee relations and disciplinary, reducing staff turnover,
  • Ensuring that onboarding, recruitment and training are carried out effectively.
  • Business succession planning.
  • Developing operations policies by evaluating and enforcing
  • Reviewing and approving operational invoices and forwarding them to payment
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and H &S
  • Manage all site based operations team members and processes and facilities for both the Manufacturing and Distribution Departments
  • Ensure Health and Safety and quality policies are adhered to
  • Ensure departments are performing to required KPi's
  • Manage recruitment process when necessary

Operations Manager - Person Requirements:

  • Prior manufacturing management experience min team size of 20
  • Familiar with established management tools, project and planning techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate examples of sustained operational process improvements
  • Good IT skills including proficient use of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Experience of manufacturing process management
  • Experience of die cutting, Pu Moulding and bonding.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO9001 and ISO14001 Quality and Environmental
