About The Role
You'll be part of the Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Team within the Procurement & SRM Function.

We are responsible for third party risk management and governance, sustainability and cost & value improvement with suppliers in the post-contract phaseof the Procurement & SRM lifecycle.

You will work to drive positive outcomes for members, suppliers, colleagues and other external stakeholders through managing the performance and deliverables of technology suppliers in line with organisational needs andpolicy requirements.

You'll have responsibility for developing and implementing cost and value improvement plans for suppliers.

You will drive discussions around performance, delivery, risk, innovation, and commercial value in supplier governance meetings, and target supplier sustainabilityimprovement.

The Senior Supplier Relationship Manager is also responsible for championing SRM to external stakeholders transferring commercial skills and knowledge.

You'll become involved in broader team-wide opportunities and activities that help to delivercost efficiency, progress strategic aims and involve internal and external stakeholders in Procurement & SRM goals.

You could be working with technology suppliers who contribute to our major strategic programmes or those who provide software, hardware and services to maintain our operation.

This will include critical relationships and it will be essential to challenge andmotivate suppliers in order to attain consistent and exceptional delivery performance.

As a member of the Society's Procurement & SRM Function, the role also requires you to identify report and risk in line with the Society's Third Party Risk Policy.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to support them in understanding and applyingthe policy and reporting on adherence.
About You

You'll be educated to degree level or have a relevant professional qualification (MCIPS).You'll have prior experience of identifying and driving cost and value improvement in supplier relationships.

That experience may have been gained as Procurement professional, a supplier or contract manager, or a functional professional with responsibility for liaising with suppliers with substantial spend.

You'll need to demonstrate you have used internal and externaldata sources to convincingly gain stakeholder support for supplier-related change, and that you have achieved mutual value over and above the planned contractual outcomes.

You will have great stories to tell about managing suppliers through technology change programmes.

You will be confident in devising your own work plans, formulating cases for change and collaborating with colleagues to initiate supplier strategies that quicklydeliver high impact benefits.
