Our client is a leading Mechanical & Electrical design and fitout contractor based in East London.

They cover design, installation and commissioning services across all sectors and have established themselves as a go to contractor in this space.

Due to a large forward order book for the coming year, they are seeking to add an M&E Buyer to their procurement team.

The M&E Buyer will play a pivotal role in the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services essential for projects.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to identify project-specific procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites.

Evaluate supplier capabilities, reliability, and performance to maintain a network of trusted partners.
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to foster collaboration, resolve issues, and optimise supply chain efficiency.
Monitor vendor performance and conduct periodic performance reviews to assess quality, delivery, and adherence to contractual agreements.
Manage inventory levels to meet project demands while minimising excess inventory and carrying costs.
Coordinate logistics and transportation to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
Track and report on inventory metrics, including turnover rates, stock levels, and procurement lead times.
Develop and implement cost reduction strategies without compromising quality or project timelines.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures related to procurement activities and provide regular updates to management.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and vendor communications.
Participate in audits and inspections to verify compliance with applicable standards and - Mechanical and Electrical

Experience in a procurement role in the construction industry, ideally in the M&E sector.
Experience procuring materials relative to M&E installs
