Description

We are looking for two support workers to form a team to support three ladies in the community with all aspects of there day to day life including personal care and accessing the community.

Paid at £14 per hour and travel time paid at 40p per mile

One of the ladies has a learning disability so learning disability knowledge would be useful.

hours of work would be opposite each other working the following

week 1

mon 7am-2pm, 4pm-7pm

tue 7 am -2pm 4pm-7pm

sat 7am-2pm 4pm-7pm

sun 7am-2pm 4pm -7pm

WEEK 2

Wednesday 7am-2pm, 4pm-7pm

Thursday7 am -2pm 4pm-7pm

Friday 7am-2pm 4pm-7pm


Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team.

As a Support Worker, you will provide assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.


Duties:


  • Provide personal care and support to individuals in various settings, such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private residences
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Monitor and document changes in individuals' physical and mental health
  • Assist with mobility and transfers using proper lifting techniques
  • Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation
  • Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment for the comfort and safety of individuals
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses or therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for individuals
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals

Requirements:


  • Previous experience in childcare, care for the elderly, or similar roles is preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures is an asset
  • Ability to work with individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with individuals and their families
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Pay:
£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
