The Role:
The M&G CR team manages corporate responsibility activities across the business: devising community investment initiatives; measuring impact and spend; tracking performance against annual competitor benchmarking; coordinating ESG and CR reporting; as well asdetermining where the business can have the greatest social impact.
Reporting to the Group Head of Corporate Responsibility, you'll demonstrate the business value of Corporate Responsibility (CR) - balancing your passion for the issues with a thorough understanding of the commercial implications.
You'll need to look externally and be able to analyse CR developments in the market, interpreting everything from market research and government consultation papers to benchmark trends.
You'll also attend networking events. You'll support the team to help shapeCR policy development and help devise and support implementation strategies.Drawing on your diplomatic skills, you'll interact with internal departments and partner organisations to secure their commitment to CR programmes.
Please note this role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover maternity leave.Key Responsibilities:
- To assist with the planning, recruitment, training, implementation and evaluation of team challenges, local events and fundraising/volunteering initiatives
- To support in development and implementation of CR policy and strategy, measuring and evaluating the impact of CR programmes
- To collect data, keeping up to date records of charity and community numbers and pipeline charities
- To create and maintain employee referral tracker and grantee database
- To coordinate communications across the business of flagship and volunteering programmes, team challenges, regional activities and award submissions including preparation of weekly news articles
- To update community intranet pages and external website context gathering for social media, app and internal communications including organising photographer and videographer where applicable
You will have:
Understanding of Corporate Responsibility (CR) and Sustainable Development (SD) issues with a commercial perspective:
- Capable of developing further understanding of business specific CR and SD issues
- Project management experience
- Experience of working within a business CR team desirable but not essential
