About the Role:

As a Commissioning Officer, you will be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team.

You will work with Commissioning Managers, the wider Reading Team, Health and care providers to improve the lives of residents.


You will have opportunity to manage contracts and be involved in various projects across strategic commissioning, service design, and procurement.

You will have opportunity to participate and lead projects, developing and consolidating your skills.

About You:


These positions are ideal for well-organized and enthusiastic individuals who can bring understanding of Adult Social Care and Health, a desire to make a difference, excellent interpersonal skills, analytical thinking and the capability to influence and drive positive change.


  • Contract Management Improvement supporting the Lead Officer to embed robust approaches to contract management, ensuring good governance and clear processes which support the delivery of positive outcomes for the people we support.
  • Commissioning projects to reduce delays in hospital discharge, working closely with the Integration Lead.
  • Commissioning and contract management support for our Supported Living portfolio supporting the Lead Officer to get the best from our providers and to refresh the procurement framework.
