The Treasury Assistant will primarily be responsible for the recording and processing of cash and bank transactions for a variety of ASCO Group companies under the guidance of the Treasury Supervisor.
Key duties include:
- Ensure validity and accuracy of all manual bank transfers and employee expenses.
- Setting up payments on online banking platform.
- Processing bank transactions through cash book on finance system.
- Performing reconciliations between bank statement and general ledger.
- Ensuring that all reconciliations are carried out accurately and meet relevant deadlines.
- Ensure that all credit card substantiation forms are completed timeously, correctly authorised and posted to the nominal ledger.
- Provide essential holiday cover for the Treasury Supervisor/ department when required.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of department processes supporting the Treasury Supervisor with adhoc duties where required.
- Computer literate with welldeveloped IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly with Microsoft excel.
- Accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
- Numerate with a strong attention to detail and excellent planning & organising skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and in writing.
- Ability to work standalone whilst being a positive contributor to the wider team.
- Educated to National 5 level or equivalent.
- Previous experience within a Treasury/Cash function is preferable or a background in a similar financial environment with a desire to learn and develop.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Good communication skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to meet deadlines.
