    Description

    Job Title:
    Electrical Maintenance TechnicianFunction: ManufacturingDepartment: IE & Maintenance, Yate
    Our manufacturing plant in Yate seeks a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team.

    Operating on a two-shift rotation, Monday to Friday, you will provide vital technical support to production, ensuring the achievement of targets for output, quality, efficiency, and productivity.


    Responsibilities:
    Maintain and troubleshoot electrical control systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.
    Provide technical support to ensure smooth operation of production processes.
    Execute preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements and solve technical challenges.

    Requirements:
    Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship with City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent.
    Minimum of 3 years' post-apprenticeship experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
    Proficiency in process equipment, including single and three-phase control systems, servo motors and drives, sensors, and converters.
    Experience in Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal PLC logic and fault finding; minor programming skills preferred.
    Ability to conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and provide proactive solutions to technical issues.
    Familiarity with health and safety regulations, including Permit to Work (PTW), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
    Knowledge of electrical installation work is advantageous.
    Demonstrated drive to expand knowledge and skill set.
