Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality Advisor
- from £40,000 including car allowance, dependent on qualifications & experience_


Due to the continued growth of the company and internal reorganisation at our Head Office in Bathgate, we are looking to recruit an experienced 'hands-on' Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Advisor from a construction or manufacturing background.

What's involved
Duties and responsibilities will be varied on a day-to-day basis and would include but not be limited to tasks including:

  • Provide support to the SHEQ Manager and Senior Managers in promoting a positive Health & Safety culture and working towards continual SHEQ improvements
  • Record and Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring any RIDDOR incidents are logged appropriately and actions tracked and closed out in a timely manner
  • Establish and maintain appropriate administrative systems, records and filing systems, arrange and minute meetings, produce letters, reports and other documents as required;
  • Assist in both internal and external audits including annual reviews of SHEQ Management Systems ISO45001, ISO14001 & ISO900
  • RA/MS reviews
  • Conduct depot inspections
  • Conduct inhouse training and inductions
  • Support the completion of tenders and prequalification questionnaire's (PQQ's)
  • Maintain supplier and contractor approved list


This role will involve occasional travel within the UK and the willingness to work flexibly out with your standard hours as and when required.

A full UK driving licence will be required.


Your experience

  • NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate
  • Member of IOSH, minimum Tech, working towards Chartered
  • Minimum three years HSEQ relevant experience
  • Experience of working in a construction / engineering / manufacturing environment
  • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time well
  • Selfmotivated & enthusiastic
  • Flexible attitude towards work
