Role:


We are looking to appoint a Policy Officer who will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of work focusing on standards, assessment and academic integrity, as well as contributing to a variety of quality enhancement and assurance activities.

As a member of the Academic Quality and Development Team and reporting to the Policy Manager, the role holder will:

  • Provide advice and support to staff from academic schools/ departments and professional services on a range of quality and regulatory matters, focused primarily on standards, assessment and academic integrity.
  • Develop and disseminate standards and assessment policy, guidance and good practice for a wide audience and particularly to support examination boards.
  • Contribute to the management of external examiners systems and processes.
The salary will be in the Grade 6 range of the University's salary scales


Skills, Experience & Qualification needed:


Previous experience of providing professional advice and support to academic staff, knowledge of the national teaching, learning and assessment quality assurance agenda in Higher Education, and excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this post.
