The directorate is made up of 4 divisions:
- Internal Communications
- Media
- Ministerial and Public Communications
- Strategic Communications
The support provided to the directorate covers corporate functions like finance and recruitment and business functions like business planning, governance/secretariat support, internal communications to the directorate, Senior Civil Servant PA support and workforce data maintenance and analysis.
Job description:
In the Support Officer role you will be:
- Responsible for the creation of the weekly newsletter
- Leading and coordinating the secretariat for Senior Management Team meetings.
- Leading on the coordination and reporting of monthly staff surveys.
- Leading on the coordination of allstaff calls and diversity and inclusion calls.
- Coordinating exit survey data collection.
- Coordinating correspondence responses for the Internal Communication, Media and Strategic Communications divisions.
- Responsible for other tasks to support the directorate like oversight of the group mailbox, handling commissions, induction materials, HR reports and updating key staffing information and overseeing the work of the Executive Officer for tasks they support you on.

Travel to your primary office location will not be paid for by DfE, but costs for travel to an office which is not your main location will be covered.
