Operations Manager (Older Peoples Services & Managed Supported Accommodation)

Location:
Kent - London, Bethnal Green E3 (hybrid working available)


Contract Type: 8 Month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover)

Work Pattern: 37 hours per week

Salary :
£ 60,000


A new opportunity has become available for an Operations Manager to oversee the delivery of a comprehensive tenancy management service for a bespoke older persons schemes.

You will work closely with our property and estate services colleagues to ensure thereis a joined-up approach to managing housing, estates and property related request.


Main tasks and duties -

  • Ensure delivery of an enhanced housing management service to older residents living in our schemes, and wider ranging services to older persons in our general needs stock.
  • Direct line management of Team Leaders, housing officer and RLO, demonstrate overall leadership of the team to ensure targets, aims and objectives are met.
  • Ensure delivery of effective housing management service to residents living in EHM schemes, not in receipt of Enhanced Housing Management.
  • Adopt an innovative and agile approach to areas of poor performance and improvements to service delivery. This will include managing or assisting in audits of policy, procedure, and practice, making recommendations for service improvement and deliveringany changes to the delivery of housing and income services.
  • Ensuring Customer engagement and involvement
  • Drive forward performance by setting high standards, encouraging improvement and supporting the team to achieve. Have regular team meetings and one to one conversation about performance, including difficult ones when necessary.
  • Working with the Heads Service and other colleagues to develop, and continuously improve performance across all KPI's and resident satisfaction
  • To manage, monitor and evaluate service activity, delivery and progress against key milestones and cost effectiveness
  • Stakeholder engagement both externally and internally

Essential Criteria:


  • Up to date and relevant knowledge of Older people's services, safeguarding, Housing and relevant legislation e.g., welfare benefits, care and support and how these affect the services provided
  • Housing management experience across a variety of tenures
  • Change management experience of both people and processes
  • Investigating and resolving complaints across a variety of areas
  • Managing a multidisciplinary staff / team, including staff who are based remotely and dispersed
  • Performance management including target setting, monitoring, and identifying improvement processes
  • Budget setting and financial management
  • Working in a role that achieves successful outcomes in the delivery of services that meet customer needs
  • Performance driven with initiative to analyse and assess complex situations and make decisions quickly and effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
