With specific reference to renewables the geographical spread of our clients is truly global.

Through access via our international network, we provide specialist insurance services to our clients with full access to power and renewable energy markets globally.

Our diverse portfolio encompasses the full spectrum of risk profiles, from the largest global utilities investing in renewables to private equity/investment funds supporting individual projects across wind, solar and battery energy storage (BESS).

We pride ourselves on providing market leading advisory services across all aspects of power & renewable energy insurance, from pre-investment due diligence to marine/construction/operational/liability package placements.

We look to support our clients early in the process, guiding them through early contractual risk transfer strategies at the beginning of the project that will set tone for the life of the project.

Lockton's renewable energy client base is has a strong existing focus on the US and UK region, but with strong growth activity globally.

But we're at a very exciting stage in our business evolution, with ambitious plans to further expand our service offering to support the broader Lockton investment in areas including Australia, Latin America, Middle East, Europe and Africa.

Lockton Global Energy is excited to continue building-out our London-based Power & Renewables team through the addition of a Renewable Energy Broker.

Our consistently strong year-over-year portfolio growth in this rapidly evolving sector creates the opportunity to add a talented, growth-motivated individual to our team.

Broker Role - What is involved?

As a Broker in the Renewable Energy team you will join our successful team of Brokers and Account Executives to provide innovative, detailed and best practice service for clients across a wide ranging portfolio, including Construction All Risks, Delay in Start Up, Property Damage and Business Interruption policies.

Alongside core broking activities you will be exposed to new business generation, tender presentations and working with our existing client base to identify business development opportunities.

As a Global company there will be plenty of opportunity for cross selling across all Energy specialisms and the wider business lines we operate in.

There will also be opportunity to travel to meet clients and colleagues across the global team.

What is most important to us is your ability to understand what our clients need and provide a bespoke service to ensure these are met in the best possible way.

What are the typical responsibilities as a Broker?

Building strong partnerships with new and existing clients

Gathering detailed information from clients to understand their risk profile, business needs and exposures to provide advice on coverage, programme pricing and retention strategy

Analysing underwriting information in order to prepare market submissions

Providing input alongside our dedicated Energy Wordings Specialist to provide bespoke coverage

Lead Broker revenue negotiations

Work with the Account Executive team to ensure all required information is documented

Coordinating with the dedicated Energy Claims team in the event of a loss

Building a strong working network of our global colleagues and partners

What skills and experience would we like you to have?

As a Broker in the Renewables team you will need to have Insurance industry experience and experience or or interest in the renewable energy market, technologies and energy transition.

Experience of working on Energy, Renewable, construction or industrial property risks will be beneficial

It would be desirable for you to have experience of working on Energy business from a Broking, Underwriting or wider Insurance background

Previous involvement with running or managing tenders will be helpful

Desire to join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team in a growing organisation
