About Olga Primary:
Olga Primary School is a local authority community school admitting children from the ages of 3-11. Our school serves primarily the E3 area of East London, near to the Roman Road market.
Olga is an expanding, inclusive school in the heart of the East End with an enviable location that enables us to take advantage of all that London has to offer.

Apprenticeship summary:
- 20 Hours per week 39 weeks
- Monday
- Friday
- Term time hours TBC
- Starting salary £5.28 per hour
- GCSE or equivalent Maths and English (Grade 4/C and above or Level 2) essential
- Any successful applicant must complete a DBS check prior to start date
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Standard (16 months to complete apprenticeship)
Job role and responsibilities:
- Organise using spreadsheets EHCP funding and liaise with LA on funding.
- Ensure SEND information is kept uptodate on SIMS.
- Support the SENDCo with data entry and organisation.
- Ensure safe disposal of data when necessary.
- Liaise with external agencies as appropriate to ensure effective management of SEN data.
- Shared responsibility for maintaining accurate and uptodate data in SIMS.
- Shared responsibility for Year End / New Year setup in SIMS, with a focus on nominated areas of responsibility where applicable.
- Responsibility for SEND data on SIMS
General Duties:
- To use SIMS to undertake register admin & maintain MIS data when required.
- To support with pupil absence calls.
- To implement a safe visitor management protocol, ensuring InVentry is used to log attendance of every person in the school building.
- Directing telephone calls and taking messages for forwarding.
- Photocopying, forwarding post and documentation to parents, staff, governors and other agencies.
- Joint responsibility for maintaining tidy office area.
Professional standards & Attributes:
- Maintain strict confidentiality at all times in line with school's information security policy.
- Communicate clearly with staff, parents, children and visitors with empathy, using positive language, whilst being attentive and demonstrating effective listening skills.
- Show patience and selfcontrol in all communications.
- Demonstrate good adaptability, taking responsibility where necessary, but being able to refer matters to the SBM or HT when required.
- Implement good time management skills.
- Be aware of child safety and safeguarding.
- Be willing to undertake training as appropriate.
- Actively participate in the school's performance management scheme, as specified in the school policy, meeting regularly with your line manager, in accordance with the scheme, ensuring that performance standards/targets are set and met within the agreed time scale.
- Undertake other relevant and appropriate training during contracted hours, as identified with the SBM/HT.
- Attend meeting every Thursday at 4:45pm with SBM.
- Take part in Friday staff briefing every 4th Friday in alternation with other 3 office post holders.
