JOB PURPOSE
Power Electrics, The Generator Specialist, is your single source solution for diesel generator hire, service and parts. A proud family company with a dedication to innovation, excellence and customer service.
Power Electrics has grown from a small yard in 1963 to operating out of five locations across the country, including a London sales office and the UK's largest purpose built generator depot, with a fleet of over 2,500 generators and the UK's largest generator transport fleet at over 50 vehicles.
Power Electrics are searching for a Sales Ledger Clerk to be an integral member of the Finance team in our South West Headquarters.
Reporting to the finance manager, this position would suit an individual seeking a career in a fast-paced company who has a keen attention to detail and autonomous work ethic.
TASKS AND DUTIES
- Review of daily invoice reports and ensure invoices are raised, posted and distributed appropriately, including submission onto customer portals.
- Month end invoicing, reporting and closing.
- Ensure all cash only continuing invoices are processed by 24thof each month and paid by the end of the month.
- Produce credit notes as required and if necessary, liaising with the customer to resolve any invoicing queries.
- Process all statements at month end, liaising with the credit controller to issue overdue letters with statements where required.
- Ensure Accounts Receivable mailbox is being managed & queries responded to independently and as part of the team.
- Assist the Credit Controller with overdue accounts as required, assisting to resolve any disputes as necessary.
- Process all credit card payments.
- Adhoc work as required in the Finance department.
- Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy, including carryingout general housekeeping to ensure work areas are kept tidy.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Previous experience as a Sales Ledger Clerk
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work independently with mínimal supervision
- Handson, flexible and selfmotivated
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
