    The primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive management accounting/reporting services for Corporate & Institutional Banking Function areas to the territory/functional COO, direct reports, and cost centre managers.


    As a Management Accountant, you will:
    Liaise with management/internal clients/offshore team to obtain and validate all monthly information for the production of monthly expenses (principally expense accruals and prepayments)
    Ensure correct input of budget information into bank financial systems, validate the result with the manager, and make or arrange corrections as agreed
    Attend monthly meeting with COO/N-1s/SPOCs to brief them on the overall financial performance
    Liaise with the CC managers, HR and with the Central Finance Reporting team to ensure consistency of all reported costs, headcount analysis, and commentaries
    Reconcile and control check Central Finance figures with Local reporting P&L
    Assist offshore team with coding issues on invoices
    Perform SAP cost reviews for monthly closing
    Prepare working and calculations for journals, and pass them to offshore team for processing
    Provide ad hoc assistance as required with the annual budget/forecast process
    Conduct IFRS 16 review of premises leases, instruct modification/creation of ROU assets, analyse monthly movements with trend
    Relevant qualifications (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent) - fully or partly
    Strong ability to interrogate, analyse, and interpret data, and produce variance analysis
    The ability to deliver within tight deadlines and confidently present to senior management
    Good understanding of IFRS 16 accounting
    MS Office skills are essential, including working level knowledge of Excel macros
    Strong ability to question and challenge the validity and accuracy of data or information received
    Prior experience of cost accounting and preparation of management commentaries
    Knowledge of General Ledger systems - essential (SAP)
    Data management systems like Hyperion Essbase/Oracle Smartview experience - desirable
    This client will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
