The Company
Journeyman Pictures is a global sales agent and distributor of documentaries and news. For 35 years the company has represented award-winning independent filmmaking and journalism, placing our films in festivals, cinemas, educational spaces, on TV and digital platforms around the world. We represent some of the top factual directors and producers in the world, as well as act as an agent for TV channels including BBC, Al Jazeera, ABC Australia and PBS. Journeyman's films have won Emmy's, BAFTAs, Sundance and other festival awards, and been Oscar short-listed.
The Role
We are seeking a talented and ambitious exec to come and support our CEO in driving the sales and business affairs side of the company. You will assist in pitching our great films to a global portfolio of clients from across the TV, SVOD and inflight markets. You will be responsible for processing new deals, from the point of negotiation through to contract and delivery.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous sales experience is helpful but full training will be provided. The right candidate will have a proven interest in factual films and current affairs. The best candidate for this role will be someone who enjoys dealing with clients and forming business relationships, who is tenacious and able to be a highly-organised self-starter.
Qualifications
The Package
Salary dependent on experience. The candidate will be eligible for the monthly company bonus scheme, which runs throughout the year, as well as the company pension scheme. Training and growth opportunities are provided.
