    We have an exciting opportunity to join Bradford District Care Foundation Trusts Early Intervention Psychosis service as a Systemic Family Psychotherapist.

    Bradford EIP is a nationally recognised, top performing mental health service, specialising in the support of people with, or at risk of developing psychosis.

    The successful applicant will be joining a supportive, forward-thinking service with a rich history for delivering high quality care through a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual approach.


    We are looking to recruit the right person for the role and in doing so are also offering the role to those currently undertaking the Systemic Family Therapy MSc on an initial fixed term development Band 6 preceptorship before progressing to Band 7 .

    To apply in this capacity, candidates must currently be in year 1 of the MSc, graduating in 2025.

    A core element of the role involves working systemically with social difference and diversity. Our family offer range includes psychoeducation, carer support, structured family interventions and systemic psychotherapy.


    The role involves a consultative and training role in supporting the team with their skills and confidence in working with families.

    The service is a supportive and creative environment the Senior Team work closely to offer continuous guidance and support. We value the continuous development of all, Clinical Supervision and CPD is a priority within the Team.

    Formal qualification in Systemic Family Therapy
    Accreditation (or working towards accreditation) with the relevant professional body, including through non-professional route (the position would be offered at a band 6 until accredited)

    Previous mental health qualification e.g. Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Care Mental Health
    Experience of working with adults with mental health problems, including psychosis and/or experience of Early Intervention in Psychosis
    Experience of utilising the Care Program Approach & risk management
    Application of evidenced based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical service

    Experience delivering psychological therapies to groups of patients
    Experience in applying specialist psychological therapies

    Mental health assessment/formulation
    Ability to communicate and liaise effectively with primary care practitioners, secondary mental health services and other agencies
    Skills in risk assessment and risk management
    Planning and organising skills for caseload management

    Experience in applying specialist psychological therapies
    Relevant specialist clinical courses/training
    Understanding of the care programme approach and the Mental Health Act

    Involvement in clinical research programmes
