    SEN Teaching Assistant

    13 weeks paid holiday

    Chalk is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school in Warrington on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday, afternoon shifts.

    Job Description:

    This position involves assisting students exhibiting challenging behaviors/ASD on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, or with the whole class. Knowledge and experience in various SEND areas are advantageous, and familiarity with skills like de-escalation is a plus.

    This role is ideal for a resilient and adaptable mentor with a positive mindset. The school offers exceptional facilities and services. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher, supporting lessons and activities to create a joyful and secure learning environment for the students.

    To be eligible for this Behavior Mentor role, you should have:

    • Experience in aiding young individuals with SEMH/Challenging behavior
    • Ideally, De-escalation/positive handling training
    • A positive outlook and flexible approach

    Additional requirements:

    • References validating suitability for the role
    • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
    • Eligibility to work in the UK
