We are actively looking for a Civil Engineer to join our London office. As part of the Civil Group, the Civil Engineer assists the planning, design and plan production for general civil engineering on a wide variety of projects which may include site civil design, rough & precise grading, dredging, drainage design, utility design (sewer, water, & storm drain).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Assist and supports designs construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models.
    2. Assist the preparation of engineering design by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs, and tests on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data.
    3. Supports the analysis of project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
    4. Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
    5. Assist in the production of engineering documents by developing construction specifications, plans, and schedules.
    6. Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and placements.
    7. Supports fulfills project requirements by training and guiding operators.
    8. Researches and assists in complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions.
    9. Maintains project database by writing computer programs, entering data, and completing backups.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required

    1-2 years of experience as a civil engineer, preferably with experience in site layout, stormwater, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems Or Experience in Structures

    AutoCAD proficiency

    MicroStation, Civil3D, or SWMM proficiency

    Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

    Working Conditions

    Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
