Our client require a part qualified accountant to join their outsourcing team

Support ACCA studies after probation.


They would be helping managers with their portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and VAT returns, and dealing with clients by acting as an accounting function for a variety of different types of businesses.


They need to have either worked in a similar role in practice or worked in industry and dealt with similar tasks.

Our team is experienced in working with start-ups, as well as more mature businesses undergoing a change-management programme.

We are a Platinum Partner with Xero, a Certified ProAdvisor with Quickbooks, and at the forefront of many cloud-based products, including being apreferred supplier for Receipt Bank.


Duties & Responsibilities:

The duties of this role are varied and will include the following:


  • Client Management:
- supporting Client Managers with their portfolio, as well as having the ability to manage tasks with multiple clients in a timely and efficient manner

  • Management Accounts:
- producing monthly management accounts, monthly accruals and prepayments for various clients. Preparing month end management packs for manager review

  • Sales Processes:
- understanding sales workflows and being familiar with industry specific KPIs. Assisting clients with raising sales invoices where needed.

  • Purchase and Stock Processes (where needed):
  • managing purchase invoices into the accounting system, as well as being familiar with the purchase process and stock systems
  • Cash & Bank:
- posting all bank payments and receipts, and reconciling bank and cash systems. Preparing pay runs for clients.

  • Balance Sheet:
- being responsible for maintaining and reconciling certain balance sheet items for clients; being responsible for inter-company transactions and balances; completing bank reconciliations; maintaining the fixed asset register

  • VAT/Employee Tax:
- preparing and submitting VAT returns; liaising with advisors in processing payroll

  • Other ad hoc duties as designated by managers in line with the role
