Job Title: Paediatric Consultant Locum

Location: South-West of England

We are looking for a Locum Consultant Paediatrician to join our Clinical team at a reputable trust in the South-West of England.

This vital post will see you using your expertise to improve the lives of children with sometimes complex conditions, while also being at the helm of driving this service forward.

This locum role is 10-sessions per week and includes participation with the on-call commitments. We welcome applications from both Consultants on the Specialist Register and those within 6-months of completing their CESR.

The post holder will be expected to have the abilities to set up and work in a multi-disciplinary team and work with colleagues across the Trust to provide an effective paediatric service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a high standard of clinical care to patients
• Take responsibility for the management of patients within the Paediatric department
• Attend ward rounds, clinics, and meetings as required
• Participate in the on-call rota as necessary
• Undertake administrative and clinical duties as required
• Adhere to all clinical protocols and guidelines
• Contribute to the education and training of junior doctors, medical students, and other healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements:

• GMC registration
• Minimum of 6 months experience
• Excellent clinical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and delegate as necessary
