    Global Platform Director (Small Molecule & Protein Delivery)

    Croda is a market leader in small molecule and protein delivery within the Pharmaceutical sector globally, and a FTSE 100 organisation focused on our purpose of 'Smart Science to Improve Lives'.

    Due to an internal move, we are looking to recruit a Global Platform Director to lead strategy definition and execution for one of our most promising growth platforms.

    Reporting to the Vice President, Strategy in our Life Sciences business, you will be accountable for all commercial elements of the Small Molecule and Protein Delivery strategy comprising of M&A, licensing, innovation product promotion and wider GMP manufacturing strategy to deliver double digit organic and inorganic growth in line with business expectations.

    Who we're looking for:

    • Degree qualified (ideally MBA) with a demonstratable track record of leading successful commercial strategies in the pharmaceutical sector delivering high level growth
    • A background working within the global Pharma market and a firm understanding of customer and competitor behaviour coupled with a strong knowledge technical knowledge of Small Molecule and Protein Delivery
    • High level of curiosity and ability to identify improvements and adjustments to our strategies to drive business growth and innovation
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills with the ability to define, implement and deliver on multi-year business strategies involving cross functional and cross regional leadership teams.
    • Strong negotiation skills to work effectively with customers and suppliers
    • An empathetic and accountable leadership style with a passion for building diverse and inclusive teams and cultures across the organisation.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide critical focus on business, as well as management direction in relation to the development of sales revenues.
    • Responsible for refining, implementing and communicating the commercial strategy, ensuring that the regional businesses teams execute such and that they feel valued as they contribute to the process.
    • Provide input into business strategy and activity including structure, operations, alliances and M&A opportunities.
    • Establish high level contacts with key customers globally, ensuring that we have a broad range of contacts at the senior level in all disciplines and that Croda is seen as a strategic partner
    • Maintain an understanding of competitor activity and how it impacts the delivery of our strategy and put in place actions that ensure our continued growth.
    • Provide commercial input and support relevant site directors and management teams to prepare and update site strategies to meet the needs of the global businesses and regional organisation.
    • Work with the site management teams to prepare long-range investment plans as part of the site strategy and contribute to capex planning as part of the annual budget process.
    • Ensure, at a minimum, a consistency with group standards in relation to CSR, Risk and SHE management.
    • Drive the creation of a strong and robust business pipeline, focused on the strategically important areas
