- Manage and process major planning applications, especially complex ones.
- Negotiate and seek resolution when necessary.
- Sign delegated decisions based on the role.
- Handle Section 106 and CIL Obligations, and coordinate monitoring and enforcement.
- Lead planning appeals and performance agreements.
- Manage the major developments team's budget, including income generation and monitoring.
- Liaise with councillors, attend sessions, provide training, and be the primary contact for application queries.
- Extensive knowledge in Development Management and/or planning policy.
- Proficiency in negotiating Section 106 Planning and CIL Obligations.
- Thorough understanding of planning/environmental law & procedures.

THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Principal Planning Consultant/Planning Manager with a strong commercial background to join our dynamic team at LWM. Working closely with Artemis Christophi, a Nationally recognized and Award-winning senior planning executive, you will be involved in a variety of interesting planning applications in the diverse landscape of Lichfield, offering challenging opportunities for development and growth.

JOB PURPOSE
Manage the major developments team at LWM and Lichfield District council, overseeing specific major projects, planning performance agreements, applications, and appeals. Support the planning & development executive in the day-to-day operations and delivery of major developments.
