    Community Producer (AIM Connected Communities Project)
    5 hours per week (work pattern to be agreed) – Fixed-term contract until 31 January 2025

    Location:
    NMRN, Hartlepool with the opportunity to adopt hybrid working (a combination of working onsite and from home)

    The National Museum of the Royal Navy is recruiting to the new role of Community Producer to deliver the AIM Connected Communities project.

    The programme is shaped around bringing people together to create a sustainable community focussed volunteering programme which uses the power of NMRN's collections to develop pop-up exhibition boxes.

    The project aims to help inspire people and positively impact wellbeing, including countering loneliness and a sense of disconnect.
    Develop and lead fun programming activities in the museum and in the community.

    Enable SEND volunteers to reach out to the local community to develop, design and share their own pop-up exhibitions.

    Learn new museum collections management and research skills.

    The ideal candidate will have experience of working with diverse communities, particularly young people with SEND and protected characteristics.

    Good at talking and writing to people and understand how to support young people to achieve.

    Experience of contributing to public events and/or community programmes, enjoys learning new things and is willing to undertake relevant training.

    This post requires an enhanced DBS check as a requirement of working with young people and vulnerable adults, as well as the right to work in the UK.
