    Description

    Brook Street are working with a well established, legal organisation in the heart of Swansea who are looking for a legal fee's clerk. This is a full time, permanent opportunity with an attractive salary package and an opportunity to enhance your skill set in a very niche role.

    The role is offering £28,000/year which is reviewed after 9 months.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Handling billing processes for legally aided and private fees, including submission of bills/payment on account applications on CCMS (Client and Cost Management System) and processing payments on the LEX system
    • Daily billing of private fees and sending fee notes and invoices for all new work billed
    • Managing Chamber's fee chasing systems, including proactive chasing and reporting of aged debt
    • Providing prompt follow-up for billing queries and requests
    • Assisting with other fee-related tasks and projects as needed

    Experience Required

    • Experience in a legal background (essential)
    • Experience in legal billing or finance background (essential)
    • Strong numeracy skills and proficiency in IT
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to collaborate with colleagues, barristers, and clients
