    Risk Manager required for a major offshore wind developer based in Scotland

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the development and management of the project Risk Register, including Risk identification, Assessment, and development of mitigation strategies with the project team
    • Lead regular Risk Reviews across all packages. Identify the top risks and potential impacts (schedule and cost) and associated mitigation actions and options.
    • Lead Risk analysis across all packages, identify trends and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Lead the Quantitative Risk Analysis process, including production of QSRA and QCRA.
    • Prepare weekly and monthly Risk Management reports for senior management and JV Board to provide clear, accurate and timely Risk information to support evidence-based decision making.
    • Ensure the application of LCP Risk Management practices are effective and support continuous improvement to improve risk management processes at Project and Business level.
    • Support Finance with Contingency Management (Risk Reserve) drawdown process.

    Requirements

    • Significant experience (min. 5 years) leading Risk Management activity in complex Large Capital Projects.
    • Knowledge of delivery of Large Capital Projects in Renewables, utility, infrastructure, or Oil and Gas; Renewables experience would be advantageous.
    • Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) expertise (e.g. Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) & Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) using Primavera Risk Analysis and / or @Risk).
    • Ability to articulate and present risks in their strategic context and to identify and drive implementation of mitigations.
    • Subject Matter Expert in project Risk Management methods, techniques and toolsets.
    • Results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce clear and concise information / options / decisions to senior management.
    • Able to lead and facilitate Risk workshops and Risk Reviews with key stakeholders.
    • Able to simplify and summarise complex problems and accurately report to senior management, together with making recommendations for corrective action or management intervention.
    • Degree educated in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Business etc.).
    • Professional qualification in Project/Risk Management (e.g. ChPP, APM PMQ, MoR)
