Reed HR are working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Central London to recruit a HR Business Partner on a full-time, Permanent basis.

Salary circa £45,000 - £48,000 per annum.

This job will operate on the hybrid working model with days worked bothfrom the office and at home each week.


The main purpose of this job will be to provide a proactive, informative HR Business partnering service across a range of HR topics within the organisation.

Working closely with Line Managers, Stakeholders, and employees, your workload will include EmployeeRelations casework, Policy, process and procedure, Performance management, wellbeing, projects where required and more.

Some of the roles and responsibilities of this job are as follows:

  • Lead on a range of Employee Relations casework, including complex cases on a variety of topics including sickness / absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability, and absence management cases in line with current Employment Law and legislation.
  • Coach line managers to provide strong people management support to their teams
  • Review and update policy, processes and procedures where required within your assigned business unit.
  • Work in collaboration with specialist teams, for example D&I, to implement Group focused strategies and projects
  • Coordinate the annual and interim appraisal process, including managing compliance reporting and attending Director meetings to discuss gradings and supporting managers to help employees develop
  • Produce data packs for Group Director Management Meetings analysing key people data and highlighting trends/areas of concern
  • Support any projects on an adhoc basis


This is a professional and demanding Generalist HR Business Partner role, that is very Operational with a focus on Employee Relations.

To be successful, it is essential that you have experience managing a wide variety of ER casework from end to end, includingcomplex casework.
