    Senior Vehicle Technician
    Hours are flexible: 8am to 4pm (OR 9am to 5pm/ 10am to 6pm)

    Salary:
    £35,000 per annum


    Job Description:


    An exciting opportunity has come up where you will be responsible for the maintenance of my client's extensive fleet of vehicles including inspections, service, and repair, and for the installation of additional equipment as necessary including telematics and cameras.

    Reporting to the Driver Compliance Manager/Head of Driver Compliance, you will lead a small team of technicians, ensuring that maintenance and installation activities are conducted to a high standard.

    This role will include working on vehicles at remote locations as well as on Company and/or supplier sites.

    Responsibilities of the Senior Fleet Technician:
    To co-ordinate the activities of the team to ensure inspections, maintenance,

    installations, de-installations, and ad hoc repairs are carried out in line with business needs in terms of timing, location and quality.

    Ensuring the team has the skills and resources necessary to install and maintain telematic equipment and cameras, and to make any necessary vehicles repairs.

    To conduct vehicle inspections/diagnostic checks.
    To perform any installation, maintenance, and repair activities on the full range of Company vehicles as required.

    To ensure a safe working environment by using all tools, and equipment correctly, and by ensuring a safe location for the work carried out.

    To manage stock effectively so that parts and equipment are available as needed.
    Liaising with the Company's vehicle and equipment suppliers as necessary.

    Requirements of the Senior Fleet Technician:
    Experience working with a fleet of vehicles including mid-size vans and HGV Class 1.

    A City & Guilds or equivalent qualification within the relevant field, or ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of skill.

    A valid UK Driving License is essential for this role.
    Ability to manage a small team of technicians.
    Comfortable with working on vehicles at remote locations.
    A positive, can-do attitude.
    Ability to manage changing priorities in terms of planned/unplanned activities.
