Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Contribute to the efficient and effective delivery of the wider Development Management and Planning related activities;
  • Advising customers on general Development Management matters;
  • Other such duties as may be required by Line Management.


The majority of Development Management staff are currently working a hybrid working pattern, although with the expectation that the office in Perth is regularly attended.

You should be able to demonstrate good judgement, analytical and team working skills, be performance driven,working under pressure and to tight timelines, and be able to act in a manner which contributes to our customer service delivery focus.

You will also have good IT and communication skills, as the post requires you to work with colleagues, the public, developers and Elected Members.


  • Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and have significant post membership planning experience, such as in a Local Government Development Management environment;
  • Full UK driving licence.
