We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic nurse who can demonstrate commitment to the provision of high-quality person-centred care.


The nursing associate within the sphere of nursing to provide a high quality of nursing care across the lifespan and fields of nursing.

Working under the leadership of the Registered Nurse, the Nurse Associate assumes responsibility for their workload and work as part of a team, delivering health and social care that focuses on the holistic needs of service users


You will work as part of the ward-based nursing team to participate in the assessment of care needs of the clients and the development, implementation and evaluation of care, promoting high standards, demonstrating a compassionate nature and promoting patient dignity.


Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, have a Patient centred approach to care, be highly motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Preceptorship is a period of structured support provided to health and care workers at key moments of career transition, such as entering the workforce for the first time, returning to work after a long period away, working in the UK for the first time, taking up a new role, or moving to a new organisation, to give them confidence to act as an autonomous practitioner.

You will work with and alongside the registered nursing team to ensure high standards of care are given throughout all working duties.

Working towards the NMC code of conduct maintaining their own professional practice.

To participate in teaching and facilitating a learning environment to ensure all staff on the ward have the skills/knowledge and support

To be proactive with transfers and discharges, ensuring they are safe and discharge is at the earliest opportunity

To participate in the MDT and ensure necessary admission and discharge documentation is completed in a timely manner

To store and administer prescribed drugs safely in line with legal and Trust requirements

To assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient's problems producing a written plan of care as required

To report, document and evaluate accidents and unit incidents via Datix reporting, informing manager and updating health and safety register as appropriate

To participate in development of clinical supervision within the ward


To include:

Phlebotomy

Male/female catheterisation

Cannulation

ECG recording

To develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues from other disciplines both within and outside the trust


The nursing team on New Forrest have come together and grown over the past year as a new ward for the trust forming a bond that not many can say they share, which is very unique to us.


We are now in a position where we are now the trusts Diabetic and Endocrinology (D&E) mixed with acute general medicine.

Here there lots of opportunities for building and improving new ways of working, building a bigger and better team, as well as learning opportunities for these specialities and we do this by working collaboratively with both Nurse specialist teams and the Consultant team.

With a great support network around you to be able to continue striving to be the best in what we do, this may lead on to specialist nursing in this area as well as other progression opportunities.

We are looking for highly motivated and innovative Registered Nurses to join our team, who can work a range of shifts that cover the 24-hour period across the seven day week.

It is an excellent time to be joining us where you will have the opportunity to learn and develop new skills within a supportive environment, sharing knowledge and skills form a multitude of backgrounds and experience.

Working on the ward is both exciting and challenging but we work closely with all MDT colleagues, where you will be supported by your Band 6 co-ordinator, Medical team and Ward Manager.
